Farm Stay Retreat:

This  September, Humanising Healthcare is holding its first retreat at Jamie’s Farm in Monmouthshire. Our aim is to bring people together to share ideas and practices that help us live sustainably and healthily amid the challenges of the modern world. The weekend will be spent deep in the seemingly endless Forest of Dean, and will be centered around doing a physical activity together - building a gigantic adult-size den - with small group seminars and workshops to attend throughout. The retreat will include big feasts, woodworking and making art. We want to re-discover the art of play for a couple days in the lush, wild forest and facilitate osmotic learning on how to reconnect with nature. We hope that our time together can give people a new found sense of presence and direction in life.

2024

  • Conversation Cafés at the Universities of Dundee, Glasgow and St Andrews

  • Discussion Group: Facing Death in Clinical Practice. Does how we think about our own mortality affect how we care for the dying?

  • Discussion Group: How can we be the health workers we wanted to be?
